By submitting this form you grant the Grand Haven Yacht Club Owner’s Association (GHYC) the exclusive right to rent your slip to transient boaters during the time period specified. By providing this authorization you are temporarily giving up the right to use the slip during this period. To discontinue this authorization prior to its expiration you must submit a request to discontinue the Transient Rental Authorization in writing and allow 24 hours to cancel any scheduled reservations.
The rental rate for transient reservations is $2.00/boat foot per night on non-holidays and $2.50/boat foot per night on holidays (Memorial Day, 4th of July, and Labor Day) and $3.00/boat foot per night during Coast Guard Festival (See www.coastguardfest.org for festival dates). Reservation nights are scheduled from noon on the date of arrival until noon the following day. Reservations of 7 or more nights will receive a discount equivalent to one night’s rent. GHYC and its managing agents reserve the right to reasonably negotiate rental rates at any time based on market demand. The person authorizing the rental of the slip will receive a check for 50% of the net income earned for the rental of the slip at the commencement of the boating season (October 15th). The person authorizing the transient slip rental must be the slip owner or current tenant. Authorization of transient rentals does not guarantee the rental of your slip or any amount of income.
